On Sunday, March 24th, celebrated marathon runner and national Ambassador of the Hirshberg Foundation, Julie Weiss, will kick off an exciting year-long challenge running 52 Races for 52 Faces to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer. Julie's journey will take her from coast-to-coast and across the ocean as she runs competitively in marathons, half marathons, 10Ks and 5Ks to shine a light on this deadly disease. WHAT IS 52 RACES FOR 52 FACES?
52 Races for 52 Faces is a challenge like no other! Julie will run in marathons, half marathons, 10Ks and 5Ks taking place in 10+ states across the US and throughout 2019-2020. The goal of Julie's challenge is to raise awareness and to celebrate survivors and honor loved ones lost. Every race Julie runs in 52 Races for 52 Faces, will be dedicated to one or more patients who have courageously faced this disease. Throughout this extraordinary journey, Julie will share enduring stories of hope, empowerment, loss and resilience from patients and families fighting for their lives and the lives of their loved ones. Julie is ready to show the world that pancreatic cancer is much more than the statistics, there is a name and a face behind every survivor and she’s running for them. There are miles ahead in the race against pancreatic cancer and through Julie’s journey and book tour she hopes to empower survivors battling today and inspire families to join the fight so that we can cross the finish line together and find a cure.

Julie's 52 Races for 52 Faces challenge will also go hand-in-hand with her book tour celebrating the release of 52 Weeks, 52 Marathons: The Miles and Trials of a Marathon Goddess, the story of how she turned her passion into a purpose. Julie's race against pancreatic cancer will begin at the start line of the 2019 Skechers Performance LA Marathon on March 24th, 2019.
